"A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder."
Thomas Carlyle

Reflection: This quote is saying that when a person has a goal that person is going on the right track and keeping moving forward, if that person doesn't have a goal that person will say where they are.

Reflection: There was many people who have different goals and achieved them. There was a man who danced with fire and tossed sticks in the air, A man who made his own sling shots and that's how he lives he has no t.v. and no cell phone, and last there was a lady who did poses in the air while she was on top of some sort of a small airplane.

The Six Pillars of Character

The Six Pillars of Character is Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

  • Trustworthiness: Be honest

Examples: Don’t deceive, cheat, or steal • Be reliable — do what you say you’ll do • Have the courage to do the right thing • Build a good reputation • Be loyal, stand by your family, friends, and country

  • Respect: Treat others with respect

Examples: Be tolerant and accepting of differences • Use good manners, not bad language • Be considerate of the feelings of others • Don’t threaten, hit or hurt anyone • Deal peacefully with anger, insults, and disagreements

  • Responsibility Do what you are supposed to do

Examples: Plan ahead • Keep on trying! • Always do your best • Use self-control • Be self-disciplined • Think before you act • Be accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes • Set a good example for others

  • Fairness: Play by the rules

Examples: Take turns and share • Be open-minded; listen to others • Don’t take advantage of others • Don’t blame others carelessly • Treat all people fairly

  • Caring: Be kind

Examples: Be compassionate and show you care • Show gratitude • Forgive others • Help people in need

  • Citizenship: Do your share to make your school and community better

Examples: Cooperate • Get involved in community affairs • Stay informed; vote • Be a good neighbor • Obey laws and rules • Respect authority • Protect the environment • Volunteer

Reflection: I think these are good rules to follow because they show many things that apply good things to yourself and the people around you. I also think if many people would follow these rules the world could be a happier place. If parents show there kids from the start these rules they would grow up to be well behaved adults.

Reflection: This Quote means that when your doing a bad thing like cheating on a test and you get extra points because you answered correctly that's not gaining that's just cheating. You are thought not to cheat and yet people still do it. You may think you gained but in reality you didn't.

Reflection: This quote means that you don't have to do what people tell you to do if it's bad and wrong. Don't follow people who are going to keep getting you in trouble because later you will end up like them. Don't follow their footsteps. Instead hangout with people who are doing nice and right things to the community, people, etc.
